Requests, dispatch and getting paid

The live queue, what a request card is telling you, accepting and declining, assigning an inspector, and following the job through to payout.

Requests is the company's home screen. It has two views: New requests — bookings waiting for your answer — and All work, everything on your books in every state. New requests appear live; you do not need to refresh.

Reading a request

Open one. The card is in sections:

  • The job — inspection type, the property address, and its status badge.
  • Schedule — the appointment window the agent chose, and the buyer's contingency deadline if they gave one. That deadline is what the agent is working against; a report after it is of no use to them.
  • You earn — your share of the price, the platform fee already taken out, and when you are paid: a few days after you deliver the report, not on booking. The fee rate is shown too — 80% to you when FastInspector introduced this agent to you, 90% when they have booked you before. The payment guide has the reasoning.
  • Actions — accept, decline, message.

Accept or decline

Accept request commits you to the appointment window. Decline returns the booking to the agent, who picks another company; the agent's payment stays with the platform for that next choice, so declining costs neither of you anything. Decline promptly rather than letting a request sit — the agent's clock is running.

Message about this inspection is a thread with the agent on this appointment: access, keys, "is the seller home". Both sides are notified.

The agreement gate

After you accept, the agent has to sign your pre-inspection agreement. Until they do, Assign inspector is not available — you will see the appointment waiting on the signature. Agents are told this on their side; if one is slow, a message helps.

Assign an inspector

Once signed, Assign inspector lists your inspectors (and you). Pick one. The appointment moves to Assigned, shows up on that inspector's Appointments screen with the schedule, address, map and contacts, and they take it from there: en route → completed → report. Each of those reaches the agent as a notification.

The report and the clock

The inspector has 48 hours from marking the appointment completed to deliver the report. Past that, the inspector, you and the agent are all reminded; well past it, the agent's payment is refunded automatically and the job is gone — see if the report never arrives. View report on the request opens what was delivered.

Payments

Payments lists every transaction — the amount, its status — and, once a payout exists for it, the payout's own status and date. Payouts go to the account under Settings and take the provider's usual few days to land.

Ratings

After delivery the agent can rate the appointment 1–5. Ratings roll up to your company profile and are shown to every agent choosing a company. They are the other half of the trust story with credentials — and the only half you earn on every job.
